My First Hike

Last weekend we went up to the mountains with my friend Neva and her pit bulls (oh yeah, her parents were there too...). We went hiking, tossed food around in restaurants, and went hot-tubbing.

Here I am on my first self-powered hike. I made it about 50 yards in half an hour with lots of stops to eat flowers.

Neva and I posed for a picture that we can put in our heart-shaped lockets (hint, hint - we need some bling!).

F-day

For father's day, mom and I went for a picnic up in the mountains with Neva and her mom while the dads went mountain biking.

Of course, I had to fix dad's bike before he could ride. The derailleur needed adjusting, the brake rotors needed cleaning, and the whoziwhatsit needed my technical expertise.

Me and My Posse

Here are some pictures of the gulag where I get sent MWF. Its not really so bad- I get to hang out with my friends and steal blankets from the 5 month olds.

Chum in the water! Let the feeding frenzy begin!

Sometimes I cruise around with my peeps in our low rider quad-cabs (gun rack optional).

Check out my friend Ellie (with the white hat). She was hitting the sippy cup pretty hard while we were rollin' and passed out in transit. Light weight!

Dirty Deeds

Fathers often pass down to their children the passions they have in life - passions for literature, Star Wars, football, heavy drinking, etc.

So far, I have only managed to acquire my dad's passion for dirt. Hopefully things will improve as I get older. Maybe I'll become obsessed with parasites like mom? (isn't that an improvement!)

Friends

Here are some pictures of me with my friends. They teach me how to do all sorts of cool things...

Neva loves mardi gras. I don't know how she got all these beads, but they are great for accessorizing. Just like Mr. T.- I pity the fool....

On Saturday I went down to the Boulder Farmers Market so dad could hemorrhage money. I shared the bike trailer with Ada - we spent the ride stealing stuff from each other.

Ada 'borrowed' my sweater so we had to have a little standoff. It wasn't much of a competition - she is not only taller and stronger, her wrestling skills have been well-honed by living with 2 older brothers.

Berserk in Berserkeley

Now that all the hubbub over my ambulatory status has subsided, it is time to recap my recent trip to Berkeley. I stayed in a fancy hotel that had an awesome toilet bowl I tried to dive into and a restaurant where I could work on my pouty face for the over-serious business men.

I got some new books, including this one. Dad thought it was a fitting choice - little does he know that my chattering has only just begun... I love reading while strolling around town so dad can stuff his face with food.

I got to see my friends Jennie and Sean. Here I am trying to impress Sean at a pizza place.

Now I'm back in Boulder and I've been busy helping mom with the weeding. Hello? Child labor laws?

Taking the first steps

Ladies and gentleman - I took my first steps today! That's right - I am now officially a toddler.

OK - it won't win any Oscars for cinematography, but mom was trying to film stealthily so as not to distract me. Make sure your volume is set down - mom got pretty excited. If dad wasn't so computer illiterate, he would put in a soundtrack (maybe "We are the Champions"?) to make it a true cinematic experience.

After all that hard work, I had to feed myself some spaghetti (carbo-loading!).

Then I had to go stand by the door, waiting for dad so I could show him my new skillz.
